From our One of a Kind Hawaiiana Gallery.  Hand Burned, engraved and Tattooed Gourd.  This is a Replica of a Priest Helmet.  Many people think this was a Warrior helmet of old worn in pre-Kamehameha era.

Artist JM of Keaau, Hawai’i.  John McCollum has been burning and etching gourds of all shapes for the past 10 years.  He has been commissioned for many competitions, awards, and collectors.  Each piece tells a story and each shares the significance of his romance with Hawai’i.
